- Wednesday Open / Select Division, Coordinated by Kevin & Patrick
- This Select division is in addition to the traditional Open Division. The two divisions will run concurrently at Buder Park on Wednesdays at 6:30pm, but they will maintain completely separate rosters and schedules. Although the two divisions will run simultaneously, there will be no interdivision play and no midseason player movement between divisions.
- The Select Division will differ from the Open Division in several ways. The focus of the division will be to win every game; we will seek to achieve the highest quality of competitive play possible at all times. With this in mind, playing time on these league teams will not be equal, and the captains will make no playing time guarantees to any of their players. In addition, team rosters will be reshuffled midseason; for this reason, we will not allow any player baggage. Finally, the league rosters will be determined by a selection committee, who will take into account a combination of factors including talent, experience, athleticism, and potential.
- If you are interested in playing in the Select Division, please check the appropriate box on the Wednesday Open division sign-up page. This will enter you into the applicant pool for the division; it does not guarantee acceptance. The selection committee will notify applicants of their status May 1-2. If you are not accepted into the Select Division, then your name will be moved to the Open Division roster pool for team placement.

Spirit of the Game - Rules of Play and Consequences for not abiding
- The following is taken from the UPA 11th edition rules, section IB. This is used in part to help us define what we mean by Spirit of the Game (SOTG).
Spirit of the Game: Ultimate relies upon a spirit of sportsmanship which places the responsibility for fair play on the player. Highly competitive play is encouraged, but never at the expense of mutual respect among players, adherence to the agreed upon rules of the game, or the basic joy of play. Protection of these vital elements serves to eliminate adverse conduct from the Ultimate field. Such actions as taunting of opposing players, dangerous aggression, belligerent intimidation, intentional fouling, or other "win-at-all-costs" behavior are contrary to the spirit of the game and must be avoided by all players.
For additional information on SOTG you may also visit the UPA page on SOTG, http://www2.upa.org/spirit , or the Vancouver Ultimate League site, http://www.vul.bc.ca/v3/home/spirit/. - SOTG Crimes & Misdemeanors - It is expected that every player in the league will exhibit the highest level of Spirit. When a player's conduct is not according to our understanding of SOTG, it is each of our responsibility to let them know. The following are recommendations to help us all ensure that we can continue to enjoy the game we love.
- We are each primarily responsible for our own behavior. If we say or do something that we recognize as regrettable or wrong, we will immediately try to correct the situation. This may involve apologizing, retracting a foul call, or even removing ourselves from the game.
- Our teammates share primary responsibility for letting us know when we are showing unacceptable behavior. Although, this responsibility may fall to our manager, any of our teammates can let us know.
- The team manager of an opposing team has a secondary responsibility. First, they will tell our team manager if we conduct ourselves inappropriately. Second they will confidentially contact SLUA about extreme incidents that may warrant further investigation.
- SLUA will review any complaints. Poor conduct may warrant anything from informal discussion, formal counseling, or expulsion from SLUA leagues.
